We believe meaningful memories deserve to be preserved with dignity, intention, and care.

The people we photograph are not defined by what they lack. They are families, service members, veterans, children, neighbors, volunteers, and community members whose stories deserve the same care and professionalism as any other meaningful photographic experience.

Every request is reviewed individually. Program availability depends on mission fit, consent, logistics, location, timing, scheduling, and organizational capacity.

Dignity first
Some stories remain private.
Serving a family does not automatically give us the right to make their experience public.
Privacy, consent, cultural awareness, and the circumstances surrounding each moment matter. Some photographs may become part of the broader FoSF story when appropriate and permitted. Others may exist only for the people who received them.
Both are meaningful.
Serving together
Often, the right moment reaches us through a partner.
FoSF works with military units, veteran organizations, nonprofits, foster and family-serving organizations, community groups, and other mission-aligned partners that already know the people and communities they serve.
Those relationships help us provide photography where it can be most meaningful without duplicating the work of organizations already doing important service.
